Words are just concepts...

Words are just concepts to help us connect
To ourselves and each other
To explain, explore and expand
Yet we turn them into something they’re not born to be
Something set, and decisive
The intangible now defined and therefore fully understood
Named and tamed.
No longer curious to explore and discover
Ignoring now how that thing behind that word changes and grows
Or withers
Because it’s no longer free
Captured
The fires of possibility and potential dampened by dogmatic definition
Slowly dying
Our world becoming darker with each presumption
And fight for righteousness
Yet hope sparks
With each curious thought
Each question
Every open mind
