About
Adam Burnel was part of Glasgow's City of Poets from early on. He has come to poetry late in life and loves this new direction in life. His poetry takes from personal experience whether exploring a question or extracting something more raw from a moment, a single snapshot of experience. "Poetry seems to just come at me in a single moment. Later I can take time to let whatever became grow. It feels like something I allow rather than make happen".
Connection to Glasgow
I came to Glasgow to attend University in 1985 and then spent time living in other parts of Scotland before returning to stay in 2004. I have lived and raised a family here and over the years have not found a better place to be.
